August 20, 2024 – D-BOX Technologies Inc., a provider of haptic and immersive experiences, has announced the renewal of a three year licensing rights agreement with The Federation Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA).
D-BOX, often known for its motion-enabled cinema seats that provide enhanced viewing experiences for moviegoers, also offers a range of haptic technology solutions for various applications, including sim racing and immersive training. The company noted that the renewal of its licensing rights with the FIA helps to reinforce D-BOX’ position as a “pioneer and global leader in haptics.”
According to D-BOX, the renewed partnership will position the company as the only officially FIA licensed haptic system offered on the market, and will allow D-BOX to deliver its immersive haptic technology to sim racers, professional racing teams, training facilities, sim racing centers and motorsport enthusiasts around the world.
D-BOX noted that the agreement will “lead to a range of FIA Official Licensed Products” developed by D-BOX to the FIA Clubs and all of its retail partners around the world. Under the terms of the agreement, D-BOX will provide its products to support the FIA in leading the growth and development of Esports and, with the two organizations aiming to extend the appeal of the sport to fresh audiences and double global participation in motor sport.
