February 11, 2025 – French professional football club Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has recently announced a partnership with beIN SPORTS to offer live Ligue 1 matches in virtual reality (VR) through Xtadium, a sports-focused immersive streaming platform. The initiative, available exclusively in the U.S. as part of a pilot program, is allowing fans to watch select PSG matches in VR.

The collaboration marks PSG as the first European club to introduce such an offering, providing viewers with a pitch-side experience for three matches from the club’s 2024/25 Ligue 1 season from their home stadium at the Parc des Princes in Paris, France.

PSG’s Chief Innovation and Digital Officer, Jerry Newman, stated: “Innovation is at the core of Paris Saint-Germain’s DNA, and we are proud to be the first European club to offer this immersive experience, delivering live Ligue 1 matches in VR to our U.S. fanbase. This collaboration with Xtadium and beIN SPORTS allows us to bring our US fans closer to the excitement of PSG’s biggest matches.”

The selected matches include:

  • February 7, 2025 – Paris Saint-Germain vs. Monaco (final score: 4-1)
  • March 16, 2025 – Paris Saint-Germain vs. Marseille
  • May 17, 2025 – Paris Saint-Germain vs. Auxerre

Xtadium CEO Héctor Prieto commented: “We are incredibly excited to partner with such a great soccer team to bring this new room to life. Our goal is to create a space where fans can immerse themselves in the world of soccer, experiencing the thrill and passion of the game in a whole new way.”

The VR experience is available now on Xtadium on the Meta Quest platform.
