April 16, 2019 – RealWear, Inc. today announced the appointment of Rocky Scales to the newly created position of EVP of Global Sales at RealWear.
Andy Lowery, Cofounder and CEO of RealWear, commented: “Even as we celebrate our recent successes with Shell and Colgate Palmolive, we’ve only just begun our efforts to bring HMT devices to every industrial customer around the world.”
Lowery added: “Rocky brings 20 years of senior leadership experience in enterprise sales and marketing to RealWear. He combines an uncanny knowledge of strategy with the discipline to execute on the right ideas at the right time. Rocky will be instrumental in our efforts to scale global sales at RealWear.”
Most recently, Scales led the ecommerce business unit at Vesta Corporation. Prior to that, he was SVP Sales for SheerID, a digital verification SaaS provider for ecommerce merchants. On his new appointment, Scales said: “I’m thrilled to join RealWear at this critical moment in its evolution. We have an incredible opportunity to expand usage of HMT devices within our existing customer relationships, and there’s tremendous potential to introduce new customers around the world to our rugged industrial wearables.”
Earlier this month, the company selected by Shell for the deployment of its hands-free head-mounted RealWear HMT-1Z1 platform to support in Shell’s digital transformation of its operations. The devices are being deployed through Honeywell in 12 countries including US, China, Russia, India, Germany and Austria and 24 operational sites.
