August 21, 2020 – Varjo, a provider of industrial-grade virtual reality/extended reality (VR/XR) headsets, yesterday announced that it has added global technology, defence and engineering group ST Engineering to its reseller network in Singapore, adding to the company’s resellers in the Asia-Pacific region. Varjo states that the Training & Simulation Systems business of ST Engineering’s Electronics arm will help to drive the sale of Varjo’s VR/XR products as part of its portfolio of training and simulation solutions for its customers across the aerospace, electronics, land systems and marine sectors.
“We are pleased to deepen our collaboration with a global leader like ST Engineering to deliver an exceptional, localized experience to our enterprise customers in Singapore and the wider APAC region. The current global circumstances are accelerating the need for high-quality synthetic training solutions. Together, Varjo and ST Engineering can support mission training, tactics validation and mission rehearsals with the highest-fidelity, portable yet cost-effective systems,” said Seppo Aaltonen, Chief Commercial Officer of Varjo.
Tan Yuh Cherng, General Manager of Training & Simulation Systems at ST Engineering’s Electronics, also commented: “We constantly seek partners with best-in-class technologies to strengthen our product and solution offerings. With Varjo’s cutting-edge VR/XR technologies, we will be in a unique position to deliver highly realistic immersive environments to all our customers for their training and developmental needs”.
Varjo launched its global reseller network a year ago to provide its enterprise customers with greater access to its VR/XR industrial headsets. Since then, the program has grown to include over 30 authorised reseller partners in North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific and the Middle East. Varjo resellers are handpicked and certified with the goal of providing companies with the best possible local assistance in acquiring, setting up and implementing Varjo’s portfolio of VR/XR headsets, including the XR-1 Developer Edition, VR-2 and VR-2 Pro.
Varjo added that ST Engineering now joins six other resellers in the Asia-Pacific region, from South Korea, Japan, Australia, New Zealand and Singapore. ST Engineering’s subsidiary ST Engineering Antycip is part of the Varjo reseller network in Europe.
With a stronger presence in the Asia-Pacific region, Varjo’s products are now accessible to customers for in-person demonstrations, training, testing and reviewing. ST Engineering’s customers may contact mktg.tss@stengg.com for a demonstration or request for a trial through Varjo’s new contactless remote demo kit program.
