November 12, 2024 – DPVR, a Shanghai-based provider of virtual reality (VR) hardware and software solutions, has recently announced a strategic collaboration with LAI Games, a provider of interactive entertainment and arcade gaming solutions.
Together, the two companies will co-create an exclusive arcade VR device called ‘Virtual Rabbids,’ a VR roller coaster experience that will combine DPVR’s VR arcade technology with dynamic gameplay created by LAI Games.
Developed in partnership with Ubisoft, Virtual Rabbids combines motion simulation with DPVR’s E4 ArcadeX headset, which itself offers a 4K resolution display with a 120Hz refresh rate to ensure “crisp, vibrant visuals and fluid motion that bring every virtual scene to life,” according to DPVR.
The Virtual Rabbids experience combines on-screen visuals with synchronized haptic feedback through a motion platform, while the E4 ArcadeX headset weighing just 285 grams offers comfort for extended sessions, helping to enhance the overall sense of immersion for players. Furthermore, the game’s touchless payment system makes it easier for location-based entertainment (LBE) and arcade operators to manage.

Our E4 ArcadeX VR headset’s superior technology will ensure players experience arcade gaming like never before.”

DPVR stated that through its collaboration with LAI Games, the two companies aim to “set a new benchmark for the [LBE] industry,” with DPVR adding that enhanced integrations are set to roll out across arcades and entertainment centers worldwide in the coming months. The company added that the Virtual Rabbids arcade experience will be exclusively available through DPVR and LAI Games.
